Compact bubbling boulders and overflowing urns that deliver the sound of water in the smallest spaces.
A bubbling boulder or an overflowing urn is the simplest way to make water part of a space. Water wells up from the top and runs down the sides into a hidden basin, with no open pool and almost no upkeep. It fits patios, entries, gardens and corners that would never fit a pond.
We drill natural boulders or set ceramic urns over buried reservoirs. A pump inside the reservoir sends water up through a pipe, and it spills over the top, runs down the surface and returns through gravel or stone. Plants and river rock soften the edges.
A bubbler sounds soft and steady. Because the water is spread thin over stone, it has a gentle, burbling sound that blends into the garden and is easy to live with.
Because the water goes into a hidden basin under stone, there is no open pool. That makes bubblers suitable for homes with young children or pets.
A small reservoir needs occasional topping up and a seasonal pump clean. An auto-fill can take even that off your list.
A covered, well-ventilated reservoir keeps debris and animals out. We add a screen over the basin and a clean-out access for annual cleaning.
