Patches for small damage and full liner replacement when an old pond liner has gone brittle, torn or been undermined.
The liner is the hidden hero of every pond. When it fails, the whole pond fails. Roots, rocks, sun, burrowing animals and plain age can all damage a liner, sometimes quietly.
We inspect the liner, patch punctures and tears and replace the liner when it is brittle or heavily damaged. A replacement means lifting the stone, moving fish and plants, laying underlayment and a new liner, and setting everything back so the pond looks as good as before.
A clean puncture in a sound liner is a simple patch. A liner that is cracked, stiff or faded in many places is near the end of its life, and a replacement is wiser than patching again and again.
A good underlayment protects the new liner from rocks and roots. We also trim roots, remove sharp stones and smooth the subgrade before laying the liner.
We label and reset the stone, reconnect the plumbing and replant. The finished pond should look familiar, only tighter and cleaner.
Keeping tree roots, sharp tools and pets away from the edges helps a liner last. We show you where it is most vulnerable.

Quality rubber liners can last for decades when protected from sun and punctures. Cheaper or poorly installed liners wear out much sooner.
Some patches can be applied underwater, but a dry patch bonds best.
For a full replacement, yes. For a small patch, we can often work around them.
Yes. We set them aside and reuse them, adding new stone where needed.
