Pond and Fountain Lighting

Underwater and landscape lights that make waterfalls, ponds and fountains glow after dark.

A water feature gets a second life at night. Light on moving water sparkles, and a lit waterfall becomes a focal point you can see from the house. Done badly, lighting is harsh and glaring. Done well, it feels like moonlight.

We design lighting for ponds, falls, fountains and the plants around them. Low-voltage LED fixtures run on a transformer with a timer or a smart controller. We place lights to graze across rock, glow inside the water and spotlight a tree or a sculpture. After the fixtures go in, we come back after dark to aim them, dim them and set the timer, because the right angle is only obvious once it is truly dark.

Layers of light

Soft light inside the water, warm light on the falls and a gentle wash on nearby plants work together. Too many bright fixtures flatten the scene.

Fish-friendly and low-glare

Gentle, warm white lighting is easy on fish and neighbors. We shield fixtures and aim them to avoid glare from the house.

Durable, serviceable fixtures

Outdoor lighting faces water, sun and mud. We choose sealed LED fixtures and bury cable properly so repairs are rare and simple.

Small adjustments after dark

Lighting always needs a few tweaks after dark. We return in the evening to aim fixtures and fine-tune brightness.
